Funding your online casino with Visa is not a good solution

Most of our online casino customers are also smart enough to know that credit cards have their place in our society and Visa is one of the biggest but when depositing at an online casino with Visa you might not be getting the best out of your credit card. For reasons best known to themselves Visa do not like casino games or gambling companies in general and that not only includes online casinos but also football pools and the like and they will therefore make a charge if you use your card such as  visa for funding your casino account. Visa will also tell you that as the money is transferred immediately into your casino account it is considered a cash transaction in exactly the same way as making a cash withdrawal from an ATM and therefore interest kicks in straight away. The initial charge can be 2% and although that looks like a small amount (€2 on a €100 deposit) put it into perspective by considering that the house edge on a single number in a roulette game is less than 3%. If you add the interest charge that you will be paying you could effectively be losing the house edge before you have placed a single wager. Casino games are great fun but funding your online casino with Visa is not so unless you have no choice or you are using your card to obtain a period of credit we would not recommend it.
