Irish casino news must include news of 888 Holdings

We have spoken a lot recently about the expected relaxation of the online gambling laws in America, and the preparations that many of our online casino operators this side of the Atlantic are making to take advantage of such a scenario, and we can now report on the progress of another of our well known online casino operators in this respect. 888 Holdings are reported to be in talks with Trump Entertainment Resorts, 10% of which is owned by the renowned property developer Donald Trump, with a view to 888 running a joint internet gambling venture. 888 Holdings have of course already agreed a deal with Caesars Entertainment in America to supply poker software and technical expertise, so a deal with Trump Entertainment Resorts would further enhance their standing in the American online casino market. Whilst Brian Mattingley, chief executive of 888 Holdings has not yet confirmed the identity of a prospective new partner in their proposed B2C online venture, many analysts are now predicting that Trump Entertainment would be an ideal candidate. If these online casino news reports are true, and as expected New Jersey are among the first States to introduce new legislation, Trump Entertainment would be ideally situated with their headquarters in Atlantic City to take immediate advantage of a more open American online gaming market.
