The player must predict the outcome by choosing one of three possible scenarios, which are first that the player’s hand wins, second that it is the dealer’s hand that is best or third that both hands are tied. When Baccarat is played at an online casino, a correct prediction that the player’s hand wins is usually paid at even money, whereas if the dealer’s hand is correctly chosen the pay-out is slightly less than evens due to a slight edge held by the dealer. A tied hand is more unusual so if a tie is correctly forecast, the pay-out will be up to 8/1 or even 9/1 at some online casinos.
