Boylesports have opened the betting market for the five handed Durrrr Million Dollar Challenge. The event which takes place in London requires players to buy in at $500,000 and then play heads up with blinds of $500 and $1000 for a minimum of 500 hands unless one of them loses their buy in before that. For betting purposes if the match lasts the 500 hands the winner will be deemed to be the player with the most winnings at that time. Boylesports make the American Tom Durrrr Dwan odds on favourite at 1:3 with the Brit Sammy George at 9:4. Sammy is a well known name to British poker having participated in televised tournaments such as “Poker Millions” and “The Big Game” and is also known to play high stakes games in London. Speaking on “The Poker Show” last week George said “I’ve spoken to Tom and he’s a nice guy but when it comes to the poker table there are no friends”; “If he wants to take chips off me he’ll have to do it with a hand. He’s not gonna bluff me off anything”. Head of Boylepoker.com Paul Spillane said “Durrrr’s heads up high stakes experience means he’s a very strong favourite here but over just 500 hands anything could happen”.
The event which is being promoted by Matchroom Sport will take place during the WSOP Europe festivities and the other three players have yet to be announced.
