Bwin is continuing to be a big sponsor of sport but this time in their home country of Austria according to recent announcements. The biggest sport in Austria is skiing and the biggest event is the World Cup circuit and in Austria that means the Hahnenkamm in Kitzbuhel. Between January 22nd and 24th next year the 70th Hahnenkamm race will take place comprising three events namely the Slalom, the Super G and the Downhill all of which will be covered by Austrian television and probably others as well. The sponsorship deal runs for 3 years and entitles Bwin to extensive advertising on the slopes as well as backdrops to TV interviews, winners podiums etc. Chief Executive Officer Manfred Bodner said “ In the years since its inception, the race has developed into a huge event and it fascinates even those who do not usually follow ski racing. For us, as an international brand with Austrian roots, it’s an honour to be part of such a global ski highlight”.
In response the President of the Kitzbuhel Ski Club said “Bwin is one of the world’s most recognised and reliable sponsors within sports. We are therefore very delighted to reveal this partnership as it strengthens our connection to leading international brands”.
It is true that we do not have too many, if any, skiers in Ireland or the UK that can compete at this level but we nevertheless applaud online casino operator and bookmaker Bwin for their continued support of sport.
