Cryptologic to sign up Betclic

We seem to be talking a lot recently about mergers and acquisitions in the online gambling industry or who is getting into bed with whom (no this is not a reference to a certain Mr Woods); now we have the Irish based software developer Cryptologic rumoured to be about to announce a deal with multi national sports betting operator Betclic who are based in Malta. True, this rumour is not about a takeover or even a merger but it would be a good customer to have for Cryptologic who already number Paddy Power amongst their clientel. Betclic which is part of the French group Managas operate in 15 countries and are more known for their sports betting operations but it seems they are broadening their horizons with entry into the casino market and with around 1.5 million customers to work with it will be big. Earlier this year after some turbulence amongst shareholders Cryptologic lost one of its larger licensees William Hill so this will be a welcome announcement if and when it comes.

In unconnected news, Cryptologic has announced three new slot games which build on the partnership has with DC Comics and Paramount Digital Entertainment. These new games feature Superman, Braveheart and would you believe Forrest Gump. Superman which is a 50 payline slot gives you the opportunity to follow the comics stories and has lots of free spins and a bonus round whilst Braveheart, following the Mel Gibson movie, tells the story of the fight for freedom for Scotland.
