FA Cup provides good betting opportunities

The FA Cup fourth round is this weekend and as usual this has to be an opportunity to make some money. How do you make money? The secret is to stay away from the surprises and keep a few bankers to multiply your stake. We cannot advise you on particular matches but consider also who is still fighting for their league place and who will be resting players; who will consider this a chance of silverware now that Manchester United and Liverpool are both out of the competition. Aston Villa should beat Brighton even with a weakened team, generally available at 1.2. Wigan are away to Notts County but surely this should not present a problem at around 1.66 with BetFred,  Paddy Power or Bwin. Chelsea are away to Preston and will certainly be resting players but they will also see this as a silverware opportunity and at 1.28 at BetFred it is surely a good bet. Spurs against Leeds should be a walkover but with Leeds winning the last round and in good form we would stay away from this one. Lastly Manchester City should have no trouble with Scunthorpe even though they will probably field a weaker team they surely have enough in the reserve team to beat Scunthorpe and the new Manager will not like to lose. Available at 1.4 at BetFred, Bwin or Boylesports. If you take Fulham, Aston Villa, Wigan, Chelsea and Manchester City you can get a little over 5.0 or 4/1 in old money for the multiple.

If you then want a bit of fun , how about taking Stoke to beat Arsenal at a rather generous 4.5. Wenger will certainly rest players and Stoke will be going all out as they are mid table with few relegation worries and no top four to worry about; could be interesting.
