We often comment on how the introduction of online casinos has provided us with a much bigger range of casino games to enjoy. We have also congratulated them for taking traditional casino games such as poker and providing us with a range of new games based on the same concept, but poker is not the only casino game which has been developed by the online casinos in this way. One of the most popular games in Ireland over many years has been the game of bingo, and in spite of a significant fall in attendance at our bingo clubs immediately following the smoking ban there are now signs that bingo clubs are once again attracting bingo fans to the high street. There was never any doubt that we still enjoyed playing bingo and most online casinos recognised that fact by including bingo in their range of casino games, but as with the game of poker they have also introduced a number of other numbers games based on a similar concept. One of the most popular of these is Keno. The idea of Keno is that players select up to twenty numbers from 1 to 80 with the aim of matching as many of those numbers as possible with twenty numbers selected by the Random Number Generator. The more numbers matched the more you win, but Keno offers another element of choice. The player can decide to select less than twenty numbers, in which case the winnings per number matched is increased accordingly. For example assume a Keno player chooses to select just ten numbers, the chances of five of them matching the numbers chosen by the RNG are less than matching five from twenty, but the pay-out per number is bigger to reflect those odds. It is not as complicated as you might think because the online casino graphics clearly show how the odds are changing as more selections are made.
