There is no winning strategy for Roulette

Whilst there are books published and articles written about strategies for Poker or Blackjack or other card games, we are often asked about a strategy for Roulette. We also have some tips on strategy on our tips pages but let’s make it clear that no tips or strategy will guarantee winning; a good strategy will however increase your chances but as far as roulette strategy is concerned there is none that will increase your chances of winning; it is down to pure luck. In a land based casino you will often find gamblers getting upset because the croupier has been changed when they are on a winning run and as no two dealers spin the wheel or roll the ball in exactly the same way the number that comes up will be different. Some people say that an experienced roulette croupier can influence where the ball lands, not to a specific number but to a quadrant; whether you believe that or not is up to you but why would a croupier want you to lose? Croupiers enjoy getting tips and when did you last see a losing punter leave a tip? In online roulette of course you have no such worries as the numbers that come up are not decided by the spin of the wheel but by a computer which is known as an RNG or Random Number Generator. In a good online casino the RNG is of a reputable make and is certified by an outside body so ensuring its randomness so it really is down to pure luck. There is no winning roulette strategy  but as one tip we would advise you not to play American Roulette which has 38 numbers instead of the European or French versions which have 37. The difference is that the 38 number version has a “00” as well as “0” but both games pay out 35 to 1 on a single number. Unfortunately in certain gambling establishments ( cruise ships or ferries for example) you will have no choice so all the more reason to play roulette at online casinos where you always have the choice.
