Sic Bo is one of those games that looks extremely complicated due to the board layout and if played by Chinese where the game originated is very fast moving and noisy. If you can find it in an online casino it is a very easy game to play and has betting opportunities from low risk to high risk. We have explained the table and the pay percentages in our section on “casino Game Rules”. Unlike roulette where all bets are basically the same risk/reward, Sic Bo has some interesting anomalies due to the 216 possible outcomes. If we try to put a number on this advantage we need to multiply the chances of winning by the odds to show some sort of “risk-reward index”.
For example, taking a high bet (or a low bet) gives 105 chances of winning from the 216 possible combinations and the odds are 1:1 so this gives an index of 97.22. The closer to 100 the better the index and the lower risk is the bet. On the other hand, a bet on any triple has 6 winning chances and odds of31:1 which gives an index of 88.89 so this is a much higher risk wager. Even betting on the total of the three dice throws up anomalies. The highest chance of winning is by backing numbers 10 or 11 each of which has 27 winning combinations but the odds are only 6:1 which gives an index of 87.5. If you were to back 9 or 12 however there are only 25 winning combinations but they pay odds of 7:1 which gives an index of 92.59.
There are no sure fire ways of winning, it depends on luck but you can maximize your returns.
